Scholarship Fund

​The AJJ Scholarship is is presented to an outstanding graduating senior from Hampton Bays.  

The criteria for selection includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Evidence of active community service and extra-curricular involvement;
  2. Academic success, as defined by at least "Honor Roll" status at Hampton Bays High School;
  3. Athletic involvement on at least one Varsity team at Hampton Bays High School;
  4. Completion of an essay at school;
  5. Participation in an interview with the Scholarship Committee;
  6. Financial need may be taken into account;

2019 - $20,000 was awarded thanks to the generous support from our donors and a matching grant from the MCJ Amelior Foundation!

2018 - $25,000 was awarded to three deserving young women thanks to a matching grant from the MCJ Amelior Foundation!

Deborah Assis attended SUNY Oneonta to study Mathematics Education

Pawel Golyski graduated from Brown University, where he studied biomedical engineering.  Pawel currently works at Walter Reed Hospital in DC, collecting data on prosthetic limbs so amputees can re-enter the military.
August Theilberg studied at SUNY Albany

Ryan Walker graduated from SUNY Cortland and is a middle school physical education teacher in Washington DC 
Maraya Ferreira studied at SUNY Cortland  ​

Davi Assis attended Penn State to study engineering and is now a Bridge Design Engineer for a firm out of Omaha, Nebraska.
Marissa Raimo attended NOVA Southeastern University where she played Division II Softball

Myles Liebel studied at the University of Tampa and is currently a sales consultant for the Orlando Magic
Kate Von Knoblauch studied at SUNY Plattsburgh  

Andrew Raimo attended Long Island University and recently relocated to Palm Desert, California with AFLAC
Tara Fallo studied at SUNY Cortland Works and works for the Tampa Bay Times after starting her career at The Southampton Press

Ricky Martel attended Penn State University and currently works for NIKE in Oregon

Michael Herzog is currently managing components of his family business and is engaged to be married.

Becky Krantz attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and works at J.P. Morgan Chase 

Jarrad Walsh attended Salisbury University and is currently a sommelier in Maryland at a 5-star restaurant
Elizabeth Hughes studied at SUNY Geneseo & St. John's University and is a school psychologist in the NYC Schools
